What does it mean?
B2425 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Driver Seat Heater Circuit .
Symptoms
- Remote locking works only from very close range or not at all
- One fob works normally while the other does nothing
- Several button presses are needed before the doors respond
- Panic, boot release or window functions behave inconsistently
- Keyless entry stopped working after a battery change or a long period standing
Likely causes
- Buttons pressed repeatedly while out of range, advancing the rolling code beyond the receiver window
- Weak or failing fob battery producing partial transmissions
- Fob stored near a strong transmitter or otherwise subjected to interference
- Receiver module or antenna fault reducing range so counts are missed
- Fob never relearned after a module, battery or transmitter replacement
- Water damaged or physically cracked circuit board inside the fob
- Body control module memory corruption after a low voltage event
How to fix it
- Fit a fresh battery of the correct type in the fob and retest before anything else
- Try the second fob to establish whether the problem is one transmitter or the receiver
- Carry out the manufacturer resynchronisation or relearn procedure for every fob the vehicle owns
- Check the receiver module supply, ground and antenna connection, particularly after glass or trim work
- Look for aftermarket alarms, trackers or chargers transmitting on nearby frequencies and remove them for the test
- Inspect the fob board for corrosion, cracked solder joints and worn contact pads
- Replace the transmitter or the receiver module only after relearning has failed with known good parts
