What does it mean?
B2545 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Right Head Lamp (High Beam) Circuit Open .
Symptoms
- Right high beam does not come on while the left one does
- Flash-to-pass only lights the left side
- High beam indicator illuminates on the dash even though only one lamp actually lights
- Bulb outage warning in the cluster
- Noticeably uneven light spread when the main beam is on
- Low beam on the same side continues to work normally
Likely causes
- Burnt-out right high beam bulb, the usual cause of an open load reading
- Corroded or loose bulb socket contacts that no longer grip the bulb base
- Broken feed wire or a backed-out terminal in the right headlamp connector
- Poor or corroded ground for the right headlamp assembly
- Faulty high beam relay or an open in the wiring between the relay and the lamp
- Connector left unplugged after headlamp or bumper removal
- Failed high beam driver module in a lamp assembly with electronic beam control
How to fix it
- Remove and inspect the right high beam bulb for a broken filament and confirm the correct type is fitted
- Check the socket contacts for corrosion, spread pins or heat damage and renew the socket if needed
- Switch on the high beam and back-probe the lamp connector for supply voltage
- If voltage is present, check the ground circuit and the ground stud on that side for corrosion
- With no voltage, test the high beam relay, swapping it with an identical relay to compare
- Check continuity of the feed wire from the relay or module to the headlamp connector
- Repair the open circuit or fit a new bulb, clear the code and confirm both high beams light together
