What does it mean?
U2007 is a Network (CAN bus, module communications) fault code. It indicates: Audio Navigation Unit is Not Responding .
Symptoms
- Navigation screen blank, frozen or rebooting continuously
- No map, no route guidance and no position display
- Audio and telephone functions lost together with navigation
- Error message about the navigation system on the display
- Voice control and steering wheel controls stop working
- Scan tool cannot reach the navigation unit
Likely causes
- Navigation unit not powered — blown fuse, lost ignition feed or a bad ground
- Connector at the navigation unit loose, corroded or damaged after dashboard work
- Damaged bus wiring between the navigation unit and the head unit or gateway
- Unit locked up by corrupt software or an interrupted map update
- Overheating because the ventilation path behind the dashboard is blocked
- Unit replaced without being coded to the vehicle
- Internal hardware failure of the navigation unit
How to fix it
- Check the fuses and measure supply voltage and ground at the navigation unit connector
- Reseat the connectors and inspect them for corrosion and bent pins
- Perform a controlled power-down and reset cycle as described for the unit
- Verify bus continuity from the navigation unit to the gateway module
- Check whether a software or map update was interrupted, and repeat it correctly with a stable supply
- Make sure the ventilation path behind the unit is clear and the unit is not overheating
- Code the unit to the vehicle after replacement; replace it only when supply and bus have been proven good
