What does it mean?
B1332 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: PFIS Harness Short To Power .
Symptoms
- Airbag warning lamp on and the restraint system disabled
- Passenger airbag and pretensioners may not deploy in a collision
- The fault reappears immediately after clearing
- No effect on engine performance or driveability
- Corrosion or previous accident damage may be visible at the front of the vehicle
Likely causes
- Chafed loom at the front of the vehicle touching a power feed or an exposed terminal
- Water and corrosion inside the front sensor connector bridging the circuit to an adjacent supply pin
- Damage after front-end repair, bumper or headlamp removal
- Internally failed impact sensor pulling the circuit up to supply
- Aftermarket accessory wiring routed against or spliced into the restraint loom
- Bent or backed-out terminal in the restraint control module connector
- Rodent damage to the front harness
How to fix it
- Disconnect the battery and wait the specified time before handling any restraint connector
- Unplug the passenger front impact sensor and measure both harness wires for voltage with the ignition on
- Follow the loom across the front of the vehicle and look for chafing against power feeds
- Inspect the sensor connector for corrosion, moisture and a properly locked connector
- Remove any aftermarket wiring routed alongside or spliced into the restraint harness
- Repair the harness with the approved restraint repair method or replace the affected section
- Replace the impact sensor if it is internally shorted, then clear codes and confirm the airbag lamp extinguishes after its self-test
