What does it mean?
B2347 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Wiper Motor Low Speed Control Circuit High .
Symptoms
- Mirrors move slowly, hesitantly or only in one direction
- Mirror adjustment works with the engine running but not on ignition alone
- Switch illumination is noticeably dimmer than the other door switches
- Memory mirror positions are stored incorrectly or drift over time
- The code sets again after a cold damp night and may disappear once the door dries out
Likely causes
- High resistance from oxidised or fretted terminals in the mirror switch or door harness connector
- Partially chafed wire leaking current to ground through damp insulation
- Poor module ground causing the whole reference supply to sag under load
- Another device on the same reference line pulling it down, such as a shorted mirror position potentiometer
- Internal short inside the mirror switch loading the supply
- Weak or failing reference regulator inside the door or body control module
- Low system voltage from a discharged battery or poor charging output at the moment the code set
How to fix it
- Start with battery state of charge and charging system output, because a sagging supply reproduces this fault exactly
- Read the mirror switch reference value in live data and compare it with the specified window
- Measure the reference voltage at the switch connector with the circuit under load rather than open, so resistance shows up as a voltage drop
- Perform voltage drop tests along the feed and along the module ground; more than a few tenths of a volt indicates a poor joint
- Unplug the mirror position potentiometers one at a time to see whether the supply recovers, which isolates a loading fault
- Clean or replace corroded terminals and protect them with dielectric grease on reassembly
- Replace the door module only after the harness, the grounds and the switch itself have all been proven good
