What does it mean?
B2450 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Sliding Door Unlatch Motor (PSD) Short High .
Symptoms
- The auxiliary heater does not start and shuts down shortly after being requested
- No exhaust vapour or heat from the auxiliary heater outlet
- The cabin stays cold on short cold weather trips where the heater would normally assist
- The heater runs its fan briefly and then stops
- The heater timer or remote start function reports a failure
Likely causes
- Burnt out or worn glow pin in the auxiliary heater burner
- Heavy carbon build up in the burner chamber around the glow pin
- Broken or corroded wiring between the heater control unit and the glow pin
- Loose glow pin terminal that has worked free from vibration
- Water ingress into the heater connector, common where the unit is mounted under the vehicle
- Blown fuse or an open supply feed to the heater control unit output stage
- Failed glow pin driver inside the auxiliary heater control unit
How to fix it
- Command an auxiliary heater start with a scan tool and observe how far the start sequence progresses
- Measure resistance across the glow pin at its connector and compare with the specified value; an infinite reading confirms the open circuit
- Check continuity of the supply and return wiring from the heater control unit to the glow pin
- Inspect the connector for corrosion and water, particularly on underbody mounted units
- Remove the glow pin and inspect it for carbon fouling and a burnt element
- Clean or replace the burner screen together with the glow pin where the manufacturer specifies it as a set
- Reset the heater lockout after the repair, then run a full burn cycle to confirm ignition
