What does it mean?
B2502 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Left Power Sliding Door Latch Release Overcurrent .
Symptoms
- The left low beam stays on with the lights switched off or after the key has been removed
- The left low beam does not light at all while the right side works normally
- A bulb failure warning for the left headlamp
- The left headlamp flickers, or the module cuts the output as protection
- The battery drains overnight because the lamp is permanently fed
Likely causes
- Left low beam output wire shorted to a live feed inside the front loom
- Water and corrosion in the left headlamp connector bridging the low beam pin to the parking or high beam supply
- Aftermarket HID or LED conversion kit whose ballast or driver feeds voltage back into the output
- Loom damaged after front end collision repair or bumper removal
- Insulation melted by contact with the headlamp housing or a hot component
- Incorrect bulb type causing the holder contacts to bridge
- Headlamp or body control module output driver stuck on
How to fix it
- With the lights off, measure for voltage at the left low beam output at the module connector
- Unplug the headlamp and repeat the measurement to determine whether the source is the headlamp assembly or the harness
- Inspect the headlamp connector for melted pins, corrosion and a conductive bridge between adjacent terminals
- Remove any HID or LED conversion kit and refit the correct original bulb before continuing
- Trace the front loom for chafing against the headlamp housing, the slam panel and any bracket
- Repair the shorted section and check the headlamp ground at the same time
- Replace the lighting module only when the output remains live with the harness disconnected downstream
