What does it mean?

B1267 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Left Rear Heated Seat Lo Indicator Control Circuit Low .

Symptoms

  • The low setting indicator on the left rear seat heater switch does not light, or stays lit permanently
  • The left rear seat heater may not work on the low setting
  • Switch backlighting or other indicators on the same panel behave oddly
  • The right rear seat heater usually still works normally
  • The code returns as soon as it is cleared

Likely causes

  • Indicator control wire shorted to ground between the module and the left rear seat heater switch
  • Failed indicator lamp or its driver inside the switch assembly
  • Corroded or wet connector under the rear seat cushion
  • Harness pinched by the seat frame or crushed by cargo in the rear footwell
  • Wiring damaged during rear seat removal or child seat installation
  • Internal fault in the module output that drives the seat heater indicators

How to fix it

  1. Operate the left rear seat heater through all settings and observe which indicators respond
  2. Unplug the switch connector and see whether the code changes, which points to the switch assembly
  3. With the module connector released, measure the indicator control wire for a short to ground
  4. Inspect the harness and connector under the seat for moisture, corrosion, or crushing
  5. Repair the shorted wire, or replace the switch panel if its indicator driver has failed
  6. Clear the code, verify indicator operation, and confirm the seat actually heats up
