What does it mean?

B2520 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Turn Signal RH Front Open Circuit .

Symptoms

  • Right front indicator stays dark when signalling
  • Fast flash rate on the right side with rapid relay clicking
  • Right front lamp also fails to flash under hazard lights
  • Bulb outage message or lighting warning symbol on the dash
  • Fault is intermittent and often reappears after a bumpy road or a cold, damp morning
  • Daytime running function on that corner may also be affected on lamps that share the bulb

Likely causes

  • Burnt-out right front turn signal bulb
  • Oxidised socket contacts or a socket that has lost its spring tension
  • Broken feed wire behind the right headlamp or in the front bumper harness
  • Connector unplugged or half-latched after headlamp, grille or bumper removal
  • Corroded front ground stud shared by the right side lighting
  • Failed LED turn signal module or its driver stage on the right corner
  • Water damage in the front connector after driving through deep water

How to fix it

  1. Remove and inspect the bulb; replace it with the correct specification if the filament is broken
  2. Check the socket for corrosion, burnt contacts or a weak spring, and renew the pigtail if it is damaged
  3. Back-probe the lamp connector with the indicator on and look for the switching voltage pulse
  4. If the pulse is present but the lamp is dead, test the ground path and clean the front ground stud
  5. With no pulse, check continuity of the feed from the control module to the lamp connector
  6. Inspect the harness behind the bumper for chafe damage and repair with sealed splices
  7. Clear the code, operate both indicators and hazards, and confirm the flash rate is equal side to side
