What does it mean?
B2369 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Window Washer Motor 1 Control Circuit High .
Symptoms
- The warning chime sounds continuously or sounds for no reason while driving
- No chime at all for key in ignition, lights on or seat belt reminders
- The chime plays even with the doors closed and the key removed
- Battery drain if the chime output remains energised with the vehicle parked
- Related reminder warnings behave inconsistently
Likely causes
- Chime request wire chafed against a bracket or a grounded panel behind the dash
- Harness pinched at the instrument cluster or behind the kick panel
- Internal short inside the chime module or the cluster input that holds the request line low
- Water damage in the footwell loom from a blocked drain or a leaking heater matrix
- Corrosion bridging the request pin to a ground pin in a shared connector
- Damage from a previous accessory installation tapped into the chime line
- Failed output driver in the body control module holding the line low
How to fix it
- Establish whether the chime on this vehicle is produced by the cluster or by a separate chime unit
- Command the chime output with a scan tool and see whether the module reports the fault immediately
- Unplug the chime device and check whether the code changes state, which separates the load from the wiring
- Measure resistance from the request wire to ground with the module and the chime device both disconnected
- Trace the loom behind the dash and through the kick panel looking for chafe marks and moisture damage
- Repair the shorted section and protect it with loom tape or conduit where it crosses metal
- Replace the chime device or the body control module only once the wiring has been cleared
