What does it mean?
B2374 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Washer Switch Input Circuit .
Symptoms
- The power sliding door stops part way, reverses, or refuses to cinch fully closed
- Door ajar warning stays on with the door visibly shut
- The door has to be slammed or closed by hand to latch
- Interior lights stay on because the module still believes the door is open
- Power door operation disables itself after a few failed attempts
Likely causes
- Failed latch position switch inside the sliding door latch assembly
- Broken or chafed conductor in the flexible loom between the door and the body, a known wear point on sliding doors
- Corroded latch connector after water has run down inside the door skin
- Frozen, dirty or dry latch mechanism that never reaches the detent the module expects
- Bent striker or a misaligned door so the latch never fully engages
- Damaged cinch motor or worn feedback contacts inside it
- Open or shorted detent input at the sliding door control module
How to fix it
- Operate the door slowly by hand and watch the latch state in live data through the half latch and full latch positions
- Inspect the flexible harness between the door and the body with the door part open, flexing it while watching the readings
- Check the latch and striker for wear, misalignment and lack of lubrication before doing any electrical work
- Unplug the latch and measure detent switch continuity while tripping the latch with a screwdriver
- Test the detent circuit for opens and shorts all the way back to the module connector
- Repair the flexible loom or replace the latch assembly according to what the measurements show
- Realign the striker and relearn the door travel limits after any latch or motor replacement
