What does it mean?

C1507 is a Chassis (ABS, traction control, steering) fault code. It indicates: Left Rear Tire Pressure Trigger Module Performance .

Symptoms

  • Tyre pressure system fault message with the warning lamp lit
  • Left rear position missing from the display or shown with dashes
  • Wheel positions displayed in the wrong order after a tyre rotation
  • Relearn fails at the rear of the vehicle
  • No genuine pressure loss in the tyres

Likely causes

  • Trigger module failure at the left rear wheel arch
  • Corroded or water filled connector at the trigger module, common at the rear where spray collects
  • Damaged wiring between the trigger module and the receiver, often chafed against a body seam
  • Poor ground connection for the trigger circuit
  • Module dislodged or refitted incorrectly after suspension, exhaust or liner work
  • Left rear wheel sensor with a weak battery that responds inconsistently
  • Receiver module fault or an incomplete configuration after replacement

How to fix it

  1. Attempt a relearn and observe at which wheel the procedure fails
  2. Trigger the left rear sensor with a TPMS tool to confirm it still transmits and has battery life
  3. Inspect the rear wheel arch for a damaged, wet or unplugged trigger module
  4. Measure power, ground and signal at the trigger module connector
  5. Test the wiring back to the receiver for open circuits, shorts and corrosion
  6. Verify the receiver module configuration if it or the trigger module was recently replaced
  7. Replace the trigger module, redo the relearn and confirm all positions report correctly
