What does it mean?
B1325 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Weight Classification System Sensor wrong ID .
Symptoms
- Airbag warning lamp on from the first key-on after the repair
- Passenger airbag status indication incorrect or permanently showing off
- Scan tool reports the classification system as not configured
- The calibration routine will not run to completion
- The vehicle otherwise drives normally but the restraint system is not fully functional
Likely causes
- Weight classification sensor or seat replaced with a part that does not match this vehicle's configuration
- Used seat or sensor fitted that still carries another vehicle's identification data
- Occupant classification module never programmed after the component was replaced
- Configuration or calibration routine interrupted and left incomplete
- Software level of the module and the sensor not compatible with each other
- Poor connection preventing the module from reading the identification data correctly
- Faulty sensor returning corrupted identification data
How to fix it
- Disconnect the battery and wait the specified time before touching restraint connectors
- Compare the part number of the fitted sensor or seat with the correct part for this vehicle
- Check the connector for corrosion and bent pins that could corrupt the identification data
- Read the configuration currently stored in the occupant classification module with a scan tool
- Program the module and sensor to the correct configuration for this vehicle
- Complete the full calibration and zeroing procedure without interruption
- If the identification is still rejected, fit the correct original sensor assembly and repeat the programming
