What does it mean?
B1327 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Dash Integration Module Power Circuit Low Input .
Symptoms
- Instrument cluster and dash functions reset, flicker or go blank
- Groups of warning lamps illuminate together for no obvious reason
- Chimes, interior lighting and accessory functions controlled by the module behave erratically
- The vehicle may fail to wake up properly or lose its stored settings
- Slow cranking if the underlying cause is a weak battery
Likely causes
- Low system voltage from a weak battery or a poorly performing charging system
- Corroded or loose module connector behind the instrument panel
- High resistance in the module power feed, such as a corroded fuse holder or a partially failed fuse
- Poor module ground behind the dashboard
- Harness damaged during dashboard, radio or heater work
- Voltage drop caused by a heavy parasitic load elsewhere in the vehicle
- Internal fault in the module's own power supply stage
How to fix it
- Test the battery and charging voltage first, this code is very often only a symptom of low system voltage
- Measure the supply voltage right at the module connector with the ignition on and compare it with battery voltage
- Voltage-drop test the module power feed and ground path while the circuit is loaded
- Inspect the relevant fuse and its holder for heat damage and corrosion
- Reseat the module connectors and check for pushed-back terminals
- Repair the harness section or ground point where the voltage drop is found
- Replace the dash integration module only once supply and ground are proven within specification
