What does it mean?
B2207 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Navigation Unit Lost Communication with AcuraLink Control Unit .
Symptoms
- The functions the module controls stop working, sometimes all at once
- Module does not respond to the scan tool, or responds only in a limited mode
- Warning messages in the cluster that do not match any mechanical fault
- The code returns immediately after clearing
- Vehicle may not start or may run in a restricted mode depending on which module is affected
- Settings and learned values lost
Likely causes
- Programming or a software update interrupted before it finished
- Battery voltage dropping below the required level during a flash procedure
- Battery disconnected or a jump start carried out while the module was being written
- Voltage spike from welding, a faulty charger or reversed jumper leads
- Poor module power feed or ground causing momentary dropouts
- Genuine internal memory failure inside the module
- Water or heat damage to the module
- Wrong software or calibration file loaded during a previous repair
How to fix it
- Confirm which module has set the code and what it controls on this vehicle
- Test the battery and charging system, then connect a stable power supply before any programming
- Measure module supply voltage and ground under load and correct any voltage drop
- Read the current software and calibration levels and compare them with what the vehicle should have
- Reprogram the module with the correct software, keeping the supply maintained throughout
- Restore configuration, learned values and key programming after the flash completes
- If the checksum fault returns after a successful reflash, the memory has genuinely failed
- Replace the module, program and configure it to the vehicle, then verify every affected function
