What does it mean?
B2320 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Front/Rear Washer Motor Control Circuit High .
Symptoms
- The driver mirror moves to the wrong position on memory recall, or stops before it gets there.
- Mirror movement is jerky or stops and starts in one part of its travel.
- Automatic tilt in reverse gear works inconsistently.
- Storing a new memory position sometimes succeeds and sometimes fails.
- Manual adjustment still works, which makes the fault look intermittent.
Likely causes
- Worn resistive track in the potentiometer causing erratic, jumping or noisy readings during travel.
- High resistance from corroded terminals in the mirror or door module connector, shifting the signal out of range.
- Partly broken conductor in the door boot harness that still passes some current but adds resistance.
- Mirror memory limits never learned, or the calibration lost after a battery disconnection or mirror replacement.
- Mirror glass or actuator forced by hand or in a car wash, moving the potentiometer beyond its learned range.
- Binding or damaged actuator gears so the mirror never reaches the expected feedback value.
- Water in the mirror housing making the track intermittently conductive.
How to fix it
- Read the codes and check whether the same mirror also reports a fault on the other axis.
- Monitor the horizontal feedback value in live data while running the mirror slowly through its full travel with the switch.
- Look for jumps, noise or flat spots in the value; a clean smooth sweep points away from the potentiometer.
- Measure the reference voltage and sensor ground at the mirror connector and check them for voltage drop under load.
- Do a wiggle test on the door boot harness during the sweep to expose a partly broken conductor.
- Clean or replace corroded terminals, repair the harness, dry and reseal the mirror if water is present.
- Replace the mirror actuator when the potentiometer sweep is proven faulty, then carry out the mirror memory relearn procedure.
