Can I keep driving?

Usually drivable, but get it diagnosed without delay.

First step

Start with the bulb: remove it, check the filament visually and confirm the correct part number and wattage

What does it mean?

B2518 is a Body (airbags, seat belts, body electronics) fault code. It indicates: Turn Signal LH Front Open Circuit .

Symptoms

  • Left front turn signal does not flash at all
  • Fast flashing on the left side when the indicator is used, with a rapid clicking from the flasher
  • Left front lamp also stays dark when hazard lights are switched on
  • Lamp outage warning or symbol in the cluster
  • Side repeater or mirror indicator on that side may still work, since it is often a separate feed
  • Turn signal works after tapping the lamp, then fails again

Likely causes

  • Burnt-out left front turn signal bulb, the most common reason a lamp output reads open
  • Corroded or spread socket contacts that no longer touch the bulb base
  • Broken wire or a pushed-back terminal in the left front lamp connector
  • Poor ground at the lamp, giving the module the same open-load reading
  • Failed LED turn signal module or its integrated driver on that corner
  • Connector left unplugged after headlamp, bumper or grille work
  • Damaged harness section behind the front bumper after a minor impact

How to fix it

  1. Start with the bulb: remove it, check the filament visually and confirm the correct part number and wattage
  2. Inspect the socket for corrosion, spread contacts or heat damage and clean or replace the pigtail if needed
  3. With the connector plugged and the signal switched on, back-probe the feed for voltage pulses; no pulse means the fault is upstream
  4. If voltage is present, check the ground side; a lost ground reads exactly like an open bulb
  5. Check continuity of the feed wire from the module connector to the lamp to find a break in the harness
  6. With LED lamps, verify supply and ground at the module before condemning the assembly
  7. Repair the broken wire or replace the failed lamp, then clear the code and confirm normal flash rate on both sides
